This was our first year after retirement. Our 2013 plan was well executed. As to the future plan … well, we got stuck (for all the right reasons in the Aegean …
2018 should see us moving back up the Adriatic and 2019 back round the corner to the Eastern Med.

We stuck pretty well to our plan, except we came back up to Fineke to complete a host of new works that we started. This included a new Bimin, pushpin, pulpit, roll bars and davit strengtheners. We then missed Rhodes and went up further north before crossing back over.

KEY to PLAN
(1) Relaunch from Kilada, Greece on 16th May 2016
***NEW*** One week sailing in Sporades with Ellen & John 29th June to 5th July
(2) Check in to Turkey at Canakkale by about 14th July
(3) Istanbul 26th July
(4) Faster passages
(5) Most of the time in the Marmaris-Gocek area from mid August to mid September
(6) Maybe round to Finike, maybe winter over ... Or, back to Kilada (1) in Greece … Or, we might stay in the Marmaris area
NOTE AT END OF SEASON

We decided not to make the northern section of the trip as planned but cut across from Athens to Kos and into Turkey via Turgutreis. This was mainly due to the fact that we only have 90 days each season in the EU and decided we didn't have enough time to head up north and enjoy it. Then on top of that there was an attempted coup in Turkey the week before we arrived.
Finally, we received some disappointing news from good sailing friends (sv Amaroo) that they had been fined for the waste disposal rules (completely unfairly). So, adding to that we had already had such a great sailing season, we decided to come home to Thailand earlier than planned as well.

NOTE:
Since I broke my foot on day one of arriving at Finike and need to spend 6 weeks getting it better, we needed to adopt a Plan 'C' since even this one below was the second Plan B
